We were blessed last week to have all of the Children's Cup staff and missionaries together.  The first song is the result.  Then, a recording from the preschool children of Maphiveni, and finally a few songs from the Youth that Missionary Mark recorded at various CarePoints.  A musical tribute for you to enjoy!  Though absent of Christmas Carols-the songs are offered up to the same Lord Jesus!  (Carols are not as popular here as in the States)

Get the perfect Gift for your friend who has EVERYTHING; the gift of a Christmas party to a child who has nothing!

This past summer Children’s Cup Swaziland held “Power Camps” with all of the kids, incorporating the theme “Comfort and Joy” into the Bible Club curriculum.  This same message continues for the 2010 Christmas Parties. 

This Christmas we will be reaching out to thousands of children through eighteen special Christmas parties around the country.  Our memory verse for that day will be Isaiah 9:6 focusing on Jesus as our wonderful Counselor.  We will have various stations teaching aspects of comfort.

Imagine 6 year old Luyanda, after making her own scarf, racing from the craft station across the dirt and grass field to the “stable” (complete with hay and animal noises) for a three part drama lesson.  First, an angel explains Jesus leaving the comfort of heaven.  Then a shepherd who had lived a hard life tells how he is  first to encounter the comfort of our Savior.  Then Mary shares about the joy of carrying the Redeemer.

Luyanda next scurries off to the game area to bounce in a giant blow-up castle and play various games.  She will head over to the birthday party station, complete with cake and streamers, and learn that Jesus was a baby, just like her.

Just up the hill, Luyanda will meet up with all of her friends across the field at the “Big Screen”(a white sheet hung for a projected movie;  “The Jesus Movie” in her native language) and eat a big meal of BBQ chicken.

As Luyanda wraps up her day and starts her journey home, a special gift will be given to her.

In a recent interview with friend Karl, we learned of a major cultural difference from the USA to Swaziland.  The "Bride Price" or Labolla.  One thing we see as a key here in Swaziland: Relationships are the best spent and most coveted currency.
